About Kim

I’m an anatomy nerd, fitness nut, lover of vegetables, and former sugar addict. I’m a wife to a wonderfully supportive outdoorsman, Beta to a 4-year old German Shepherd, and owned by a strange cat who likes to lick the walls.

I grew up in a small town in Quebec, Canada where family and outdoor activities formed my love of community and nature. For decades I could be found climbing rock walls in B.C., Canada & Washington state, and slapping a variety of sticks on my feet to ski up, and down, ski hills and backcountry trails. Hiking, backpacking, sea kayaking, cycling, running 5K’s and a half-marathon all round out my experience. I even spent 6 years leading guests on week-long sea kayak trips in Johnston Strait, B.C. My heart is definitely rooted in the outdoors.

I had a successful injury treatment massage business for 16 years, which I closed in 2016 when I moved to Maple Valley, WA. My quest to overcome a 30 year sugar addiction lead me to the Nutritional Therapy Association, and in 2007 I certified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. Finally, because I’m an anatomy nerd, I received my personal trainer certification from ACE, just so I can kick your butt with authority! (But don’t worry, I work with beginner-intermediate level enthusiasts so I won’t ask you to train to hike to the top of Mt. Rainier, or cycle from Seattle to Vancouver.)
