Women often ask me about meal replacements, supplements, detox plans, and other fitness paraphernalia. Here’s my list of favorites.

While I think it’s possible to improve your health significantly through healthy eating, daily exercise, proper hydration, and good old rest and relaxation, I do recognize that in today’s world it’s often hard to eat properly 100% of the time. Also, some of you prefer or do better with a bridge from where you’re starting to where you’d like to be nutritionally. For some women it’s a detox. For others it’s a meal replacement shake or bar. I’ve tried many, and can offer the following as suggestions. I like the taste, the ingredients, and the programs they offer. If you have any questions, by all means, send me a text or give me a call!

In my practice I use both Juice Plus+ products and Standard Process supplements. With this program you’ll follow pretty strict dietary guidelines for 10 days but you don’t have to work with a health care professional. Pros: you may lose weight, detox, increase your energy, decrease inflammation, decrease food cravings, and eat loads of veggies for 10 days. Tasty shakes and only a few capsules per day. Cons: You may continue to crave the shakes after you’re done!

JP completeMeal Replacement Shakes and bars
I really like these shakes and the bars. They’re full of real fruits & veggies, seeds & grains. They’re low-glycemic, gluten free, non- dairy and vegetarian. Pros: if you need a quick breakfast or a healthy alternative snack, theses are the perfect solution for balanced nutrition. Both shake flavors are a hit in our house. Cons: while I like the flavor of both bars, my husband didn’t like either. Try them for yourself.

21 Day Purification Program
This is a great program, but it’s not for everyone. You’ll have to work with a health care professional (me), and follow strict dietary guidelines for 21 days. Pros: you may lose weight, detox, increase your energy, decrease inflammation, decrease food cravings, and eat loads of veggies. Cons: some people don’t like the mild grittiness of the shakes, many daily supplements, the first 3-4 days may be rough as you detox. Recommendation: This is a great program for people who want an intense reset and are willing to make significant changes over 21 days. For more information, contact me! (This program cannot be sold over the phone or online.
